Emma DuBois

Sculptor and designer

Emma DuBois is a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in needle and wet felting. She takes inspiration from her travels and the natural world to create whimsical pieces. Emma loves to push the limits and create ever more intricate sculptures, paintings and wearable art. She loves needle felting for its forgiving and versatile nature. She started needle felting at age 11 after her mother gave her a kit for Christmas and immediately spent hours working on her first project: a sitting cat. During her teenage years, she continued to experiment with felting and learn from books. She also created custom works for friends and family. She then attended the National Theatre School of Canada in the Set and Costume design program for two years, where she honed her design skills and became fluent in French. In 2021, Emma started her felting business and has been building it ever since. In 2022, she attended her first art show, and now she has attended over 20! She also sews, paints, writes poetry, throws pots and sculpts clay, and works with wood. When she’s not making art, she likes hiking with her dog, and travelling to visit friends and explore new cities!
